The Cal State East Bay College of Business & Economics offers a range of degree options for students with diverse backgrounds and career goals. Three distinct MBA programs, all of which are delivered in person on the university’s beautiful Hayward campus, are the stars of the show.
MBA with Concentrations
This traditional, two-year MBA features an emphasis on globalization, innovation, and sustainability. Students of this program can choose from seven concentrations for a specialized course of study. All courses are offered on weekday evenings to accommodate busy, working professionals.
MBA for Global Innovators
This executive, cohort-style program is reserved for students with at least five years of professional experience. Designed with a strong emphasis on leadership, strategy, and innovation, the MBA for Global Innovators is a cohort-style program that features Saturday classes and an 18-month completion time.
One-Year Intensive MBA
The College of Business & Economics’ One-Year Intensive MBA is an accelerated, cohort-style program of study in general business with an emphasis on entrepreneurship. Friday and Saturday classes and a 12-month completion time make this a convenient and flexible option for many early- and mid-career business pros.

MBA Admissions Requirements
Cal State East Bay MBAs are open to bachelor’s degree holders, regardless of major, with a GPA of at least 2.5.
GMAT Scores
MBA with Concentrations: The GMAT IS required. You must rank in at least the twentieth percentile on both the Verbal and Quantitative sections of the GMAT.
One-Year Intensive MBA: The GMAT is required ONLY for applicants with less than five years of work experience.
MBA for Global Innovators: The GMAT is NOT required but is optional.
Proof of English Proficiency (international students only)
International students must submit TOEFL/IELTS exam scores.
How to Apply
Cal State East Bay’s MBA programs are highly selective, with class sizes limited for all programs. As a result, applicants must sit for a personal interview with the MBA program director prior to completing an application. Applications that are submitted prior to sitting for an interview will not be considered.
The College recommends that students attend an info session prior to requesting an interview to determine their eligibility.
