The Cal State Stanislaus College of Business Administration offers three distinct MBA programs designed to accommodate business students and professionals at every career stage. All three programs feature a cutting-edge curriculum and real-world learning opportunities and are designed to prepare students to assume leadership positions in the private and public sectors.
Evening MBA
The Evening MBA is a ten-course program offers the flexibility and convenience working professionals need from a graduate program. Students can take as many or as few classes per semester as desired, taking up to seven years to complete the program.
- On-campus, evening classes (Monday through Thursday)
- Full- and part-time study available (average completion time is two years)
- Concentration options in Finance, Business Analytics, and Accounting
- Students may also choose a General track, personalizing the Evening MBA through their choice of electives
Online MBA
The Online MBA is a fully online, ten-course program that can be completed in as little as one and a half years or as long as seven years. All faculty members are Online Learning Consortium (OLC)-certified to ensure a dynamic and rigorous online learning experience.
- 100% asynchronous online format
- Full- and part-time study available (average completion time is two years)
- Concentration options in HR Management, Finance, Digital and Social Media Marketing, or Business Analytics (coming Fall 2025)

Executive MBA (cohort currently postponed)
The Executive MBA is an accelerated, 15-month program for busy, mid-level managers and other business professionals. The program’s small, cohort-based design allows students to forge close professional relationships with colleagues and faculty.
- Nine-week, Saturday-only classes (consisting of seven on-campus classes and two online classes)
- Cohorts rotate annually between Turlock, Tracy, Stockton and Modesto campuses
- Curriculum designed to build leadership and strategic skills

MBA Admissions Requirements
Applicants for the Cal State Stanislaus College of Business Administration Evening MBA, Online, and Executive MBA must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and satisfy the six foundation courses prior to enrolling in the MBA core courses.
Other admission requirements vary based on the specific MBA program:
Evening MBA
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 (overall or within the last 60 semester units)
- Two years of relevant, full-time employment in a professional or supervisory role (applicants who haven’t met the two-year experience requirements may request a waiver based on exceptional academic performance)
- GMAT/GRE NOT required
Online MBA
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 (overall or within the last 60 semester units)

Executive MBA
Admission into the Executive MBA requires an evaluation of a candidate’s professional and academic portfolios.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 within the last 60 semester units
- Minimum of five years of middle and/or upper-level professional management work experience; consideration of experience includes:
- Extent and nature of the candidate’s professional experience
- Leadership potential and other personal qualities that demonstrate the candidate’s academic and professional promise
- Academic qualifications
- Admission Interview: After review of the candidate’s application portfolios, the MBA committee will schedule an interview. Applicants should be prepared to discuss their professional experience and academic and career goals. Admission decisions are made following the interview process.

Application
Your application must include the following:
- Resume: Your current resume should include a list of your academic and professional accomplishments in reverse-chronological order. Work experience should include information about the employer (nature of business, gross sales/revenue, number of employees) and the job title held, including a description of your roles and responsibilities.
- Two letters of recommendation: Two professional/academic sources (must be submitted through the Cal State Apply Recommender Form)
- Statement of Purpose: The Statement of Purpose should be an essay (500-750 words) that serves as a reflection of your past accomplishments and your future career goals.
- Official transcripts: Official transcripts must be sent directly from the educational institution to Stanislaus State.
International Students
International students must submit proof of English proficiency by submitting one of the following:
- TOEFL iBT: minimum score of 80 with part scores of 20 Reading, 19 Listening, 16 Writing
- IELTS: minimum score of 6.5 Band with part scores of 6.0
